Them and us

When did society become, them and us?

If we lived our lives as if there was no tomorrow...would we be any different...

Or maybe we  wouldn't put up with all the heartache, sadness, injustice, and brutality in the world... Nor would we allow people to speak to us as if we were beneath them, and be pushed about by heavy handed bureaucracy . and commercial bulling... We would live together in harmony... Love each other and stop fighting.. We would all be equal in all we do...

If only life were so simple ... Why isn't it ...

Today in the supermarket 3 different people just walked straight into me, as if I was completely invisible. Not one of them apologised!!!!

Gone are the days when you could open a bank account by just asking and have your pound coin.. Now you have to have two utility bills,  two proofs of ID and your birth certificate.

Even if you want a job, a simple enough  request, you need all of the above. You can no longer leave a job and Friday afternoon and start a new one on the Monday morning.

Moving house becomes a nightmare, at one time you turned up at the house said OK I will rent it, if they liked you great, NOT now.... they decide if you can afford it, and if you are on benefits forget it.... which many are these days) ....it seems you are an undesirable ....

Oh and don't get me started on the scenario at the checkouts!
Do you have a loyalty card, are you ok with your shopping, would you like cash back, but ask for some bags and they look at you as if you asked for a ton of gold.

Then there are the shops that ask you if you would like the special offer they have like chocolate, crisps, drinks etc.. at the checkouts..

All I want to do is pay for my shopping.. or my fuel.. UGH!!

Oh and of course the other thing is are we becoming a Nanny state, with Health and Safety getting out of hand, we can't do this, we must do that. Buying some headache tablets we have to be warned they contain Paracetamol and not to take more than the stated dose or take them for more than 3 days, and to be told be can only purchase one box at a time... well if I wanted to take an overdose, I would just go to loads of shops/chemists.  When I asked about it yesterday I got told, it's my job I have to tell you, so this then becomes a jobsworth.

(strange as this may seem... a friend of mine is prescribed paracetamol & codeine by her GP.. each has 30mg of codeine and 500 paracetamol, and she has to take 6 a day... now that is almost 4 times the dose in over the counter) double standards or ???

Common sense has gone out the window.

Wine and spirits too, they have to decide if I am over 18 ( along way over lol)
even certain medication has to be authorised...

To much heavy handed bureaucracy's and bullying by the state

There is to much discrimination.  and some of that is double standards to , you can say I am skinny or thin but I can't say you are fat, and many more.

WHY, what happen to trust, individuality, humanity. oh and dignity

May it all rest in peace just like good old customer service and politeness.

Here lies, common sense, good customer service, politeness, trust, individuality and humanity.
May they REST IN PEACE
