Life in the fast lane ....

Is it all it cracked up to  be?

Life in the fast lane isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.  They say the drugs hype you up and the booze fuels the mind.  Emotions run at a hundred miles an hour, till you burn yourself out.  So why do we want to live in the fast lane, is the hard shoulder so boring.

We all want to be rich, successful, loved and needed, but where do we go wrong?

Ah I know: it’s the Medias fault. The celebrities, the rich and famous make it all sound so easy.  Look at some of the programmes on Television......  The people, opps sorry the Candidates, spill out business cliques like a broken record.  They think they that they can tell him they will make him money and he will greet them with open arms, as if they are the best thing since sliced bread. Oh ok that’s a clique too. But it is true, yet most of them are already high powered managers, have their own companies, or daddy is rich, so is it the 15 mins of fame they want.

No! They want to live in the fast lane, and they deem working for one of the richest men in Britain the fastest route to fame and fortune.

The business world is portrayed as easy rich pickings, where everyone can become billionaires overnight.

Then we get back to the biggest question of all…. Does money buy happiness?

Yes or No…………..

Yes, it buys you financial freedom, you can buy what you like when you like. You live to a high degree of standards, you  show off your wealth to the world, with fancy expensive houses, cars, clothes, jewellery all the trapping of a successful person, be it through work, inheritance, or winning the lottery.  Many people will envy you, many may even try to steal it from you.

But the big question is are you really happy, or is it a case of the more you have the more you want.

No, it causes animosity and greed between family and friends. It can cause isolation and sadness, even death.  Remember Vivian who won the pools years ago, declaring she would spend, spend, spend, she died young. She even got herself in too deep devastating debt after she had spent the thousands she won.

Business world, the world of the glass ceiling, the Rolls Royce, the fast sports car, the big mansion.  The world of nervous breakdowns, suicides,  broken marriages, drugs and drink.

A different picture from every angle, be it 3D or HDMI, from a women’s or a man’s point of view, we all see it in differing aspects, some happy, some with regret.  It continues day to day, makes money loses money.

Just read what it says in the media!  So many give their lives in pursuit of this happiness and money..
